if this is the right place for this. I guess the blog would be a better idea, but I don't know how to operate that.
When you have photography as a hobby, as a living or a lifestyle as some of us feel, it’s not about travelling to far- away places, or what kind of equipment you have, what camera or lens. It’s about the share joy in the instance you photograph or as someone likes to say, creates an image. You seem to forget everything around you and sometimes the share joy or your engulfment in what you are doing may lead you astray or into difficulties. It really doesn’t matter what you photograph in order to have that feeling. It’s that moment or those moments. If you also can share it with people, whom appreciates what you have done or wants to discuss it in a civil manner, then there is an extra asset to it all. As well as you like to look at what others have achieved and sometimes derive from there. We all I think feel a little proud, at least good, if I should moderate my exclamations, when people approve what we are doing.
So this morning as the rain was pouring down outside, I tried out another old lens of mine on a fairly new camera to me as I topped it off with apple-waffles and cups of coffee. I would not say that it turned into art or fine photography. But I had fun and a good start of the day, photographing this plant and flowers which were not supposed to even survive up here close to the polar circle.
Hope you like it, the waffles were very good.
