I feel sorry for the folk who parked here.
The river came up that fast that it took them by suprise. :/

Taken on the IPhone 5.

Hey, don't be so anti British! ;)
There's always the option of the best 4x4's in the world..... Land Rover!! (When it works) :D:D
Can't argue with the Batmobile though........ Good choice! :D

The Range Rover is the vehicle de rigueur for the Highland Park crowd (the hoity-toity part of Dallas), so all's not lost for you guys.*

*Note that the use of the French "de rigueur" in this commentary is solely to establish my culturally sophisticated credentials and in no way implies any support/respect (except for the really good bread and wine) whatsoever for an obviously communist/socialist/surrender monkey nation of left wing radicals who are destined to burn in the pit fires of hell for their lack of moral and/or family values.

Nothing worse than having a tide-mark on your upholstery! ;)

Looking at the shot, my LR would have been ok - wading depth without a raised air intake is 27.6 inches with the suspension in full height (off-road) mode.

But that's with the engine running etc etc - having the water come up to a parked car is going to be nasty for any vehicle :(

The one in Dan's shot will be in the paper next week being sold in 'perfect' order - one careful owner etc etc

Hannah's sister had to wade into this to get her car ... It was lapping at the sill apparently. She got in and drove off. It happened in 1 hour! Dry car park when she left with one hour on the parking, she got back and half the car park was under water!

lol, they never float. that sucks if they parked it and this happened. i like the idiots that drive around the road closed barricades into the water then call us at work to complain that there weren't enough signs.
