I'm Getting Taller

1. The Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh

2. A rare view of Edinburgh. Note the failed attempt at an acropolis on Calton Hill. Edinburgh was once called The Athens Of The North.

That is a great viewpoint, I like the contrast between the modern foreground and historic buildings in the distance.

Mistake? No, must have been a distortion in the space-time continum between the shots. :D

The mistake: I have recently started scanning my negatives. It looks like I put the second negative in the wrong way round. Notice the Acropolis on the hill. In the second one it is on the wrong side of the tower next to it...And also the cars are on the wrong side of the road.

Anyone notice the (non) deliberate mistake?

Tut, tut! You're clearly new to scanning. You've put the second negative in the wrong way round. Notice the Acropolis on the hill. In the second one it is on the wrong side of the tower next to it...And also the cars are on the wrong side of the road.

Actually, no,...I didn't notice. I was probably too busy admiring the compositional and lighting skills of the photographer.

Twa bonnie foties, Rob.
