Very nice, Glenn. I prefer the first, without the sunlight. I do love dark greenery.

The lighting on #1 is wonderful Glenn - picks up the texture in the leaves and has a highlight around the main bloom

I'd be tempted to crop square and loose the brighter leaves top left as they tend to draw the eye from the main flower

Blooms work so well in non direct lighting - you get more saturation of color, more detail, no hard shadows - lovely stuff

Thanks Chris...a lot. As I remember shooting the brightness in the upper left caught my eye...and I said to myself...self...you have to fix that. I did as I was processing...but clearing not enough. I realize I have a long way to go in the flower shooting...so your points are filed.

Glen, he first is superb stuff and I agree with Chris about the crop to lose the brighter leaves. The lighting on the dark leaves is also wonderful.
