In The Nick Of Time

That's how we arrived at Sheffield Park today. Considering it is now the middle of November, this is the first day out we've had together all year - unless you count the hour or so in Bexhill after dropping the Land Rover off for a service. We couldn't go yesterday because we needed to get the zoo done. I didn't miss the wall to wall blue sky and sunshine, but I could have done with a little more light. Any light really. It was one of the gloomiest days I can remember.

It didn't stop the visitors though and there were signs leading up to the park apologising if they had to turn people away. They can't use the fields for overflow parking and this is one of the most popular times. We got a space and so did the car behind, but the attendant on a walkie talkie relayed back the message that the car park was now full. Whew!
