Found a link to this website by Roger Clark, and quickly realized that this guy has put years into the information he's posted online.

He has in depth comparisons of film vs digital for example, discussions of apparent DOF with different sensor sizes, as well as some excellent astro photography and digital workflows.

Well worth a look - but make sure you have some time to get through it all - there's a lot!
