Into the Light

Took a few shots today on the first sunny day after two weeks of overcast skies, strong wind, cold and driving rain. After three hours with nothing particularly interesting to show for it, I started playing around by overexposing the shots using long exposures. These are JPEGs straight out of the camera with only minimal tweaks in post.

Thanks a lot, everyone. These are the shots I end up taking after a really frustrating morning when I just can’t concentrate or find anything worth pointing the camera at. So I start playing around with the settings pretty much at random and just see what comes out. They’re kind of borderline — I’m not even sure they’re proper photos, apart from the fact a camera made them. They’re a bit over the top. They’ve got a certain charm, but they also feel quite artificial to me. Not sure what to think, really.
