ISO question

I started experimenting with ISO settings on my X100 while indoors. I noticed that although the X100 allows up to 6400, whenever I half-press the shutter button, the ISO falls to 800. This happens whenever I set it above 800. Why does it do that?

Do you have it set to Auto ISO6400 maybe? Then it's using 6400 as it's max but using lower if it can?
