Critique Welcomed It Actually IS People and Portraits

We visited the Getty Center yesterday. I wanted to see the Josef Koudelka photographic exhibit that's on right now. I just processed a roll of 35mm from my visit and its hanging to dry as I write this. I also have a few 6x6 images that I shot in my Yashica 635, but I have not yet finished the roll so I expect I'll process that roll next weekend. However, I thought I'd post a 6x6 I shot at the Getty with my Y-635 last time I was up there.

I believe this image is taken in the gallery for European paintings circa 1870-1900 or something like that. I guessed the exposure pretty well, but failed miserably to focus. (I need AF these days.)

That character in the foreground was a bit odd. I mentioned to the security guard that he might want to beep an eye on that bloke and he told me the fellow is there nearly every day.

A couple of days later I was at UCLA to attend Caiti's graduation and that same fellow was there too, hanging about in the crowd.

Really good they allow photography, not easy here. Works fine for me Brian I thought focusing the the back wall was the latest movement , you being one of the founders and very hip. Almost straight as well ;) Pete's eyes must be going

Is the guy on the right, at the back, related to Len Ganley? Who he? He was a snooker referee at The Crucible, and would stand just like that. A not very popular beat combo called Half Man Half Biscuit (great name!) wrote a song in his honour:

Half Man Half Biscuit that takes me back Rob , remember lying in a field 1985 maybe at a guess. looking at the sky, bonfire going, in the back of nowhere , yes knew the band but dont have their music

One of my mates had an album or an EP of theirs, and played it incessantly, which really put me off them. But they were amusing.

Cheeky bugger! :D

Yeah Julian, most of the galleries at the Getty allow photography, but no flash. However, it seems that galleries displaying photographs are off limits for photography. This was the case with the Koudelka exhibit as well as one displaying Japanese photography.
