The lobby of the Ford building in Irvine, California.

Nikon F Photomic with Nikkor 50/1.4 and Arista EDU 400 film that I processed in Rodinal.

Hand held with the lens wide open. (I'm guessing that may account for the softness in the foreground furnishings. )

Fabulous composition and tones and the softness / grain works well this the crisp geometry of the building. And the way that geometry contrasts with the sign is perfect I think as is the way you have divided up the frame. Super stuff indeed Brian. :)

The floor neAr the end has a mirage like appearance as though it is melting. The softness in the near furniture doesn't detract at all. Like all the wall lines, and especially the one on the ceiling.

Thanks a lot Pete. I actually took a bit of time composing this with my eye to the viewfinder. Much longer than usual, as I was trying to determine what to do with the wall on the right. Perhaps it was time well spent. Thanks again, Pete.

Just my cup of tea. Thanks, Brian! I love the softness here, and the floor reflections too.
Appreciated, Rob. Thank you.

Thank you, Tom. I never thought of the mirage analogy, but it does seem appropriate.
