Elsewhere I called them Admirals, don't know why I said Generals. That's a mean-looking swan, isn't it? Only one winner there. These guys meet every Sunday, and have done for decades. Usually there are about a dozen enthusiasts.

WE have a pond in Stobbie that they use for it too Rob but never seemed to catch the right weekends there doing it or I was going somewhere else. Used to see one of the guys with a BIG mofo battleship on the roof rack of his volvo on the way there

That swan shot is a classic Rob - great capture

The green colour - no pp on that, just a tiny bit of darkening. It can look so beautiful, and changes depending on where you are standing in relation to the sun. I actually removed a duck from the scene, as I felt its apparent indifference to the battle had a negative impact.

Superb shot Rob, I like it very much. There's a bunch in Berlin (and Hanover also). I think I like the B&W version of the park bench admirals best of the two though.
