You got it Pete. John Henry was a famous horse. There is a statue of him outside the entrance to Santa Anita Park and that is what I am referring to in my description. Also, a portion of that same statue is visible in the foreground of my photo, in the background of which the entrance to Santa Anita Park is visible. Perhaps I should have been more clear in my description. As to the bloke in the black teeshirt,...I can't speak to your assumption about him because don't actually know his name.

Thanks Brian! I think for the sake of compositional clarity we should assume that black teeshirt man is also called John Henry!! But what he is doing with Rachel Alexandra is the real mystery here I think!!
