Kubrick Lens Tryptich

I went to see the Stanley Kubrick Exhibition at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art a few weeks ago. It was the last weekend of the exhibit and I'm glad I made it up there to LA to see it.

One long case contained a ton of Kubrick's lenses.

I shot these images on expired Kodak Plus-X that I processed in Rodinal.

I think I used the Olympus XA3 for these shots, but I'm not sure. For 35mm I had the Minox GT35 with me that day also, but I don't think it was the Minox because I'm not as confident in low light conditions with that wee camera (wonderful though it may be) as I am with the XA3 (or the XA for that matter).

Fabulous set set Brian. They do indeed have an underwater look to them. Did they have the legendary f/0.7?
Thanks, Pete. They did indeed, have the f0.7. I don't think I got a fotie, though. It was a little confusing, to be honest. They had a movie camera set up in the Barry Lyndon hall and I think the lens on it was the 0.7. I thought I got a fotie, but I haven't seen it come out of any of my rolls of film.

I just love all of the overlaying reflections and the depth of the layers. Really good set Brian. That is certainly one hell of a collection of lenses.
Thanks, Paul. The pictures don't really give a full and complete view of course. In real life the lens collection real was one helluva one. Thanks again, Paul.

Do I see a display case-pod in use Brian? ;)

What a set-up, very impressive - I like #2 the best

Open the display case doors HAL :D
