On the lake a month or so ago. My daughter is a competitive swimmer and locally in July they had an open water 5k lake swim. This is a fun event and time out from the pool. She came 4th over all, first woman, in on 1 hour 7 mins. First male in was 1 hour 3 mins. There were many good tri-athletes who took part as well as many who swam for fun on the shorter distances. She then later at mid day swam the counties open water 1.5 k which she won overall.

A fabulous series Julian (and well done Julian's daughter). They are all superb but the languid feel of the first is just wonderful and I love the framing.

Thanks Rob, kind words. I feel comfortable at these events, partly as I know most of the people, or a lot, secondly there are usually several press and event photographers, so if you can pull a face and look important ( like my avatar) people actually stand and wait for you to take a photo.
