Landing in the Capital...

Star gazing so close to Edinburgh is a complete waste of time, as can be seen here with the glow emanating from "Auld Reekie", across the estuary...

The nice big "star" is actually a plane on a holding pattern, waiting to land at the nearby airport...

Home now, in a nice "dark sky area", so hopefully will see more of the heavens...although with the temperature dropping past -8 C, I will not be spending too much time outdoors...

It is indeed and the glow from the city is really nice. Two stars seem to have sneaked in anyway, Dougie.

Can't say it desturbs me a bit, those lights from the city Douglas, as long as they are that far away. A very good image no matter what the star is caused by.

man made stars - just as pretty in a way I think
