my rocket came in the mail. finally. ran outside to take this in the 20 degree weather (that's about -6 for the non-americans) and couldn't find my coat. not entirely pleased with the shot, wish i had a slightly greater dof, so i'll redo it when the sun and my jacket return.

but it is a real rocket.. all 10 inches of it. it is, it must be. :p bet the postal facility had fun x-raying that one, a solid piece of steel in the shape of a rocket. will be even more fun trying to take it on a plane later this year.

Ah, it's landed then! ;)

Love the 21 window bus as well - both good choices for transport

Really looking forward to seeing how the series develops - which camera/lens are you thinking you'll be using most?

yes, it has landed. thought the vw was appropriate since the rocket came from germany. i've named her olga, the rocket, not the vw..

i used the 18-55mm today cause it was already on the x-pro1. oddly enough, my camera choice is more dependent on what lens is already attached rather than which camera has which features. let's blame it on the cameras being so close in layout and features, but the truth is i'm too lazy to change lenses. for lenses i'll probably use the 18-55mm a lot, and maybe the 12mm voigtlander, but it might be too wide.. the 18mm prime hasn't been used much since i got the 18-55mm zoom. the 35mm gets used slightly less than it was before the zoom, mainly used now for the wider aperture. the 60mm still gets used pretty regularly because of the wide aperture and the macro capabilities.

I keep forgetting you have that 12mm voigtlander - still on the fence about M mount and manual focus :p

Wow Beth I thought you'd lost the plot at first then scrolled down and BINGO! love it, a great shot, now you have really started the toy games now where is my ??? not saying for fear of ................not saying :D

Great composition Beth!
