Lens fungus

does anyone know if the fungus, which is on the shutter will effect my images. I doesn't appear to be on the glass. I could test it but for what the film cost, I'd rather ask first.

I think that looks quite sever, it'll be on an inner class surface or between elements an will most likely severely degrade images.

Thanks for your reply,Ian. The seller gave me a refund and have now another on its way. Hopefully that will be OK .

I agree and the fungus has spread right across the optic. It could have been cleaned off but they produce organic acids as they grow and, as well a degrading any coatings, these can etch the glass. Best to be rid of it I think.
