WOW WOW CALM DOWN MAN................lol wow how excited has Dan got hehe

I love going out after dark taking photos of stuff thats lit up but that's kinda hard living in a steep sided welsh valley in middle of wales so i had to create my own light

I used a small set of white LED fairy lights that are battery operated. Camera on tripod with about 8 second exposure.

While spinning the lights around i walked toward the camera in the first shot getting a vortex effect. The second shot i was simply stood still.

I am gonna try get some coloured fairy lights, watch this space, O and getting some wire wool this weekend I am thinking welsh castle ruins, wire wool at sunset or dusk..........!

Id love to suggest to Hamish an extra catogory on the new thread page 'light painting'....
But there's simply not enough people doing it, so it might as well be named after me!! Lol.
I'd really love to see alot more folk on here to give it a go to be fair... Then it could be justified.

Love the "vortex" effect Darren!
In Lightroom try dropping the clarity to 0 and upping the blacks a bit on that one I reckon that could have an intereting effect!
