Lights Seals

I had my Oly OM 10 with a 50mm f/1.4 delivered Friday.
I was very overwhelmed with the lens that I didn't even have a closer look at the Oly.
All of it has a smooth and functional operation, however, I was just loading some HP5 amongst its internals and I noticed that the light seals have deteriorated. They become very 'sticky' and comes off when you touch it. So the loading was abruptly halted.
Question, I need OM 10 light seal..... Any ideas where from folks?

This is my yummy OM 10 with a 28mm on it...... Lush! :)

I wouldn't worry to much though I you want to get a film through it ... It happens to most cameras eventually I've not noticed any detrimental effect when shooting with a veriety of older SLR's
you would probably only notice if you scraped all that goo out and made an effort to point the back of the camera at the sun ...
that said, no harm in doing it ... Just trying to put your mind at ease about sticking a film in ...

The OM10 is a lovely camera considering it was at the bottom end of the OM range and can be had cheap as chips on ebay. You can also pick up the Manual Shutter speed adapter which gives you a bit more flexibility. I really likes the OM10 and sold mine after I bought my first digital camera, a silly mistake.

Might be worth doing though Hamish - I has light leaks with my Canonet along one edge, due to failing seals.

Easy enough to fix - if a little gooey!

Nice looking camera Dan :)

isopropyl dissolves the old foam, clean it up then whack some new stuff on. have done that for Mamiya Press 6x9 backs
