Had the pleasure to see Hamish's office today and pick up my newly purchased Exa.
I could get lost for hours in there like a kid in a sweet shop.

Gave the retro meister a spruce up, loosened up a few parts, and whacked a roll of kodak gold in it.
Fingers steady.... Exa ready

Not much loser than before, but I'll get it going. Quite tempted to let my dismantling skills take the better of me :/
Other than a bit of occasional of shutter lag/sealing in the slower shutter range, I'm determined to make good use of this beast!

Right, I've had a go on the dismantle forefront until the hours of 2 a.m this morning.
Quite concerningly the focus was getting stiffer and worries starting setting in as to how much force I could allow myself to use before possibly damaging the mount.
The focus barrel thread is heavily worn to the point where I couldn't get it back on anymore.
There's no longer a 'thread bite' if you know what I mean. And I think there's a slight barrel warpage possibly responsible for the thread wear towards the top.
It is pretty much irrepairable.
HOWEVER, moving forward positively, I have managed to get at least half of the role with that lens, so lets see how they turn out.
Definately going to get another one of those lenses if it turns out nice.

I still have another Exa mount lens that's not going to stop me taking piccies
