Hi Everyone,

I discovered your site while searching for instructions on how to use a Voigtlander Vito B.
Came across Hamish's superb article on Zone and was hooked to join.
I have decided to step back from digital for a while and dive into film in order to improve my skills.
In two days time I will take delivery of a Vito B film camera.

I have lots of questions.

You have some very cool images on your Flickr page, Austin. I especially like "Green Vase" (the deeper darker green version) and "Open Book." Lovely work.

Welcome to RPF.

Ah ... you must be my new best mate ;)
I'm really genuinely chuffed that someone has found us via those articles and I really think you will like the vito b its a wonderful camera

I did that very thing some 6(?) years ago with a vito b and i have never looked back

A huge welcome to the forum from me, im really looking forward to seeing the results

this is a photo I took with my vito b the very day the zone focusing system first made sense to me

No probs ...
As a simple rule, Fuji colours are more vibrant greens, Kodak colours are more warm
If you want cheap but good film you can't go far wrong with Fuji Superior or kodak Gold ... They will certainly give you the clearest idea of the house colour if that makes sense...?
They can also be found almost anywhere you can buy film from.
Same goes for black and white ilford xp2 which can be deved on the high street whereas the also commonly found fp4 and hp5 have to be sent off or deved at home
