Lone Tree, Early One Morning

I suspect this will lead to trouble but I like the second more (although I prefer the positioning of the island in the first - can't you move it?). For me the reach of the lower branch connects with the coppice and creates a nice flow in the image.

I like both of them for different reasons, although I'd like to see the first with a tiny bit less foreground and the second with a touch more foreground. Picky? Who? Me? Nah. LOL

What I like about the second is the group of trees on the far right. The lone tree (subject) seems to be a go-my-own-way type and the group of trees looks like a bunch of gossips huddling together while busily denigrating "that freak". To take it a bit further, the first is a very good photograph of a tree and landscape. The second is a story.

I try to use my imagination to the equal stage of the photographer, but I fail. But if it is any consolation to him, I can truly say I prefer the first one much to the fact that I can see the island as well.;) I did not dare, but comment on this  From now I'll restrain from any comments and trust that Hugo does his job. In that case I won't end up in trouble!!!
