I am fast becoming a huge fan of a particular camera I recently purchased: It's a Canon Canonet QL17 GIII. It's a fairly small 35mm rangefinder. The light seals are needing replaced but I'm shooting it with bad seals, and I love it!

This shot is over-exposed but I like it anyway. I haven't done any PP to it.

Yesterday I discovered that the camera's meter actually works. How well I don't know. I'll find out when I start shooting in the "A" mode. That turns the meter on and adjusts the aperture automatically based on your selected shutter speed. (Thus, it's a "shutter-priority" system.)

I used Fomapan 400 film for this shot, and guessed at the exposure using the "Sunny 16" rule. (Based on the result I probably had the lens at f11, though, which is what I tend to do.) I developed the roll in Rodinal.

I like it too Brian. Somehow searching out the curve of the path through the pedestrians and cyclists adds something. Nice. :)
Thanks, Pete. Much appreciated.

I like it too. Just dark enough to make out all the necessary details.

Thanks Rob! Much appreciated.

Agree with Hamish - it makes for a lovely hot image

I do indeed have the same model - a superb camera

Light seals went on mine, but replacement wasn't too fiddly - I found seal material on EBAY

Battery Light Seal Kit Canon Canonet QL17 QL 17 GIII Etc | eBay

They throw in a battery for $10 total, so I went for it!
