Loverly!

Thanks, Davie. Of course, while we were out waltzing around the botanics, white van man was attempting to deliver my new Fuji XS1 to my house. It was scheduled for tomorrow, so we thought it was safe to go out and enjoy the amazing sunshine. Typical. Anyway, looking forward to getting it tomorrow!

Oh I feel your pain regarding couriers... recently i've had nothing but bother with them

It is a nice shot indeed. And I really like the scale of it with the blooms dominating the scene. Many people would have chosen to go in closer but I think this was a very good choice. I like the PP very much also.

It's funny about people and photos. I'm pretty ambivalent about have one pointed at me and luckily Ina positively enjoys it!

Oh, I did a couple of close ups as well, but felt the size of the bush was so overwhelming, Susan wouldn't feel the focus, so to speak, was on her.

There was a bright light shining through at one point, so the cloning stamp came in handy. Two of the blooms are repeated. Can you spot them? Imagine Susan's head is the centre of a clock...two blooms at 11 o'clock were pinched from 1 o'clock, a little higher...

I prefer the original version, Rob. In the original form the bloom of flowers is grand,...majestic even. And yet, Susan dominates. She is the principle flower. Lovely fotie! (Leave it big!:))

Can't believe Pete has another square-ist on the forum! :D

As it happens, I like the square crop as well - I know, I need to lie down now... ;)
