Excellent Chris - now why do I never think of taking a camera out on plane?!! I just read my book etc and there's Blanka taking shots of clouds etc and you shooting super abstracts. I just seem to switch off.
Well Pete - they do tell you to switch everything off etc etc, so I do always feel dissuaded to some extent.
Then of course my Canon gear would typically be all locked up in the overhead, and I would't be arsed to go get it!
With the X100, I had it in my Billingham 'European man bag' at my seat, so was messing about during the flight, taking pictures out of the window, etc etc...
The Velvia conversion is neat - it's done in camera from a RAW file - and you can select all sorts of PP parameters before it generates a new JPG from the original file.
So you can shoot all RAW and still play with the built-in FujiFilm presets to get some nice looking colors.
