Meet our ferrets

Nigh on impossible to photograph, I had to produce a set of ferret images for a charity web site. My long suffering husband got the job of animal handler while I generally jumped around saying "missed again - put them back where they started". Eventually we got some we could use and of course, it's always nice to have portraits of your pets. The last one was taken of a typical "weasel war dance" when Louis was recovering in our dining room. I felt a fractal treatment worked well with the manic pose

That's kind of you Pete. Louis had been living in the summer house of a massive stately home. I got the call to go and rescue him and for the first few days he was so weak he did nothing but eat and sleep. Then we got the dance! Believe it or not, he has now changed colour and is a very pale silver

It's Fractalius. The filter is cheap enough to only use it once in a blue moon, which is what I do. It loves feathers

That's very kind of you Paul. The site had a complete rebuild a few months ago, but I'm still faffing around with the images. Some of them have to be rescanned because I did everything on the background layer. I know a bit more now...
