My thoughts are particularly going to our very own Rob, who I trust will overcome any health issues, and may 2025 be the year of his full recovery. A special and heartfelt holidays greeting, Rob ! God Bless !

Thanks, Julian. I’m in my element just now: wife and daughter doting on me, great food I can actually eat (!) and lashings of ginger beer to wash it all down. There were five times this year the docs thought I was a gonner, but here I am! I have a small mountain of drugs to take seven times a day, but they will start weaning me off them over the coming year, starting in January. Could be a rocky road, but there’s no alternative. Fingers crossed.

And my very best wishes for everyone else here on this august forum! May 2025 be the year of your best shots so far

@Rob MacKillop, when you said at the end of August that you hoped to be home for Christmas, I thought, ‘Oh my God, that's an infinite amount of time!’ Now you are home, sooner than expected. I would like to wish you a better year than the terrible one you went through, but calendar years are just conventions, life is a continuum. So I wish you the best of continuums.
