True.
I must admit of all the recent digitals G1X had me most confused
(easily done 
).
At the time i did wonder larger sensor yet it can't change lenses can't do shallow dof.
These days i think it is an interesting camera (for street, landscape, architecture, still life, high iso).
I'd need two lenses to make 28-112 on micro 4/3, Nikon 1, Nex, Nx which would make the body lens combo bigger than G1X. Although RX100 size takes the biscuit in a nice way.
