Not with such small wing spots but I guess there is quite a lot of variation in them. Maybe a sub-species. Really nice picture though. You often don't get to see the under-wing of moths like this.
Which lens/camera are you using for these captures?
I played around with my 1:1 macro yesterday in the garden, and got diddly squat that was sharp, so I'm keen to learn how you get such excellent results.
Well up untill 2 Days ago I used my S100fs Just set to macro + a lot of practice But unfortunately The card slot has packed up so untill I get it fixed Its a DSLR again, some of my pix are taken with a DSLR they should all have the Exif data intact. all of my pictures are taken with no addons.

I used to have a Fuji S6500fd which was quite simply amazing for the money. The macro didn't have 1:1 but was fairly good as a macro camera. It had a little bit too much barrel distortion but the lens was just superb at full magnification which was about 300mm equivalent. I Nikon that I now have is good but I know what you mean about Fuji's.
