Mooove a little closer...

Lesley Jones

Otherwise know as Zooey
The Sony went berserk again with the reds and yellows and I've had to really mess with the saturation on this. Last night the red was -30 and the yellow -20. Tonight I had another go, but I feel I've lost all sense of colour. It will probably be corrected tomorrow, but for the moment this is where I'm at. It was early evening - about 90 minutes before sunset, so the sun was pretty low.

Taken with the zoom at 16mm :)

16mm!? It could've licked you from that close :P lol I like how you can see each individual scratch on its horns, and it's fur looks great in the sun :)

BRAVE SOUL !! This is "in your face" good Zooey !!
It does what a great photo should.... Jumps up, grabs you,
and demands your attention.
Hope all is well with you and the critters :)

That is one nice photo. I really enjoy seeing your work, Lesley!

Ron!!! Where on earth have you been? It's great to see you back in here. You've missed a lot of fun.

We're OK and Purdy is still going. Even though she is too wobbly to walk, she is very happy having us do everything for her. I saw you lost Jack. I'm very sorry - I did send you a virtual card.

I hope you're going to stick around now. I miss seeing your work. (Not everything is in black and white you know) :)

Actually... please feel free to ignore the comments. I do appreciate them, but I've admitted defeat with the colour cast. I did this from scratch this afternoon and it still wasn't working, so I replaced it with another taken a few seconds earlier. Evening sun on red cows with the Sony going wild was giving me nightmares. This one isn't right either, but if I tone down the red any more then there's no image left (and yes, I've tried having a separate saturation layer just for the cow - that doesn't work either...)

The 16mm view is great - gives it a surreal distortion and lots of lovely detail
