My Cuba visit 07

Thanks to a previously influenced thread on here I've decided to post a few fav's of my cuba visit.
All shots were taken on a compact camera (Sony A430 I think it is) and all PP'd in LR

This is a concrete... yes concrete boat that has been grounded for years!
Authorities are unable to do anything with it as it is such a heavy ship that they don't have nothing powerful enough to move it, and blowing it up is out of the question.
It used to transport Molasses (unrefined sugar) that has flemented over the years so much, that blowing it up would have desasterous consequences on the marine life.... so it remains a feature for tourist to see... and smell!! lol

Nice shots Dan. I like the shop especially. The lone cyclist in the street really makes the shot for me (is that a person in the doorway on the left?) although it looks like there are some spots in the sky. They may be birds but they are a bit distracting I think. I like the PP though. Suits it well.

Ha! Well noticed pete... If there's anyone who studies a photo through all aspects of technique, style, crop, treatment, specs, smudges etc.. It most certainly would be you! Can't hide nothing in a photo from you pete.

I can tell you what that is.... The bus that I was on stopped momentarily, and I saw my chance, and those specs in the sky of the picture is in fact, the dirty bus window! Lol
I'll clone that out another time but thanks for noticing pete

Great shots Dan! The first one of the boat is kinda spooky...the water is so calm, the boat looks like some kind of "ghost ship". And the one captured through the bus window is special also. It's amazing what one can capture given just a moments notice.

I love that one of the lone cyclist on the street, Dan. I missed the person in the doorway until Hawkeye mentioned it. However, now that I know he's there he ads much to the image. In my opinion.
