Some might know I have for a long time been looking to expand my creativity into video ... well, it had to start somewhere ...

... Ive just out this together with a little creative input of Hannah ...
It was shot with the Sony NEX5n with a Mayer Optik Gorlitz Trioplan 100mm 2.8 lens held in front of the camera.
The music is La Longue Route by Yann Teirsen - I hope he doesnt mind me putting his beautiful music to my beautiful child!
I did some cross process preset grading in LR4 with some additional tweaking

Anyway, enjoy!

beautiful film. it has a familiar, homey feeling to it like some of the old home movies my grandfather made of my mom and her brother and sister. really steady considering it was handheld and i like the grading and flare.

Beautiful. Gentle. Tender.

(So glad i saw it in the morning makes me feel all mellow for the whole day. Thank you).

Beautiful and inspiring, makes me want to get my arse into gear with video.

Thanks Julian, very kind!
Just waiting for some sunshine now and I'm going to get Connie up on the hill with the 50mm 1.2 and an nd. I think the wider angle will work nicer outside ... And it's a good excuse to use the 50mm 1.2 and an nd filter on a sunny day :)
