Christ another Fuji , you'll fit in well here :D (i'm about the only person who dislikes them)

Davie you aren't the only one here that feels that way haha

though I will admit I have my eyes on the X10 to replace my G11 for a quick pocket camera but I don't quite care for the X100, I struggle with the price mainly because I would rather sink my budget into a Pano film rangefinder for which I particularly have a weakness specially this one here;

Dave that's quite a nice set of gear, the 50mm 1.8 is an awesome lens

by the way sorry Dave, I didn't mean to hijack your thread but I got excited since I too thought I was the only one who didn't like the digital rangefinders but was afraid to say so :D

Nice kit list Dave!

Some lovely fast zooms there - and the Fuji (OF COURSE!)

Fidel - that Blad looks exactly like the X-Pro1 - admit it! :D

oh i think my dislike for them is known lol , as for the hasselblad i'd go back to film for that, or even better since i like japanese stuff the original fuji TX-1(which is the blad but looks better)

i dont know much about Nikon, but that seem an awesome set up :o

It happens a lot around here Dave!! ;)

Still, as I didn't reply to your original, nice setup. I too use Nikons as my 35mm SLR (digital or otherwise) of choice and love the backward compatibility. I couldn't get on with the D700 though (and have since passed it on to another member of this forum) - although that is probably down to my laziness in learning menus etc and it spent its days on top of a microscope operated through Nikon Capture - but I love the D3 (and I like the extra weight too). I think the 24-70 is a super lens and I use it a lot along with the 85mm f1:1.4. There is now a D3x on the microscope but I am pretty sure that I'll replace it with a D800E in the near future.

Do you ever shoot in any other formats?

I must have a play with a Fuji X10 as I'm still looking for a pocket camera to replace my Ricoh GR Digital III (and the IV ain't it!).

Which incidentally, is also a Fuji and was marketed in some countries under the Fuji name. Clear family resemblance. With Hassleblad now owned by a Swiss investment firm, all Hasselblad H-series cameras and their lenses are built by Fuji. There has been a rumour going round that a digital version of this camera may be in the works, probably marketed under the Hasselblad brand name.
