A few images taken over a long period of years. The Malham shots are from 2015, the Gordale shot from the same period, the salt marsh images are a few years old and the sheep shot was last year.

Do you print and exhibit Shaun? You certainly have a distinctive style!
Gary no, I gave up putting on exhibitions back around 2010. I always found it so expensive and these days I just don't have those kind of funds.

A few more images taken back in 2007 and so far not really published in any form. I was using at that time a Nikon D70 with a zoom and was shooting in RAW. These have been given my usual treatment.

I really like: "The Bridge at Kirkham Priory".

I need to up my ability to "see" an image in b&w as I'm planning to shoot a roll of Tri-X in the new-to-me Contax G1 when it arrives.

Gary, I think that because I started in photography at the age of ten and was immediately involved in developing black and white film, I tuned my 'minds eye' into seeing in monochrome very early on. In fact I have never really shot film in colour always preferring black and white and a whole host of different developers. Tri-X is a combination I used back in the very early 2000's in Paterson FX39. My all time favourite though has always been Ilford Pan F in something like Tetenal Neofin Blue. The tones are astonishing but of course, each to their own. I loved original recipe Tri-X for it's contrast and grain. I wish you all the best with your film photography.

I started with a Canon FTb and Tri-X in 1971. For a number of years I also had a wet darkroom where I did prints. I've only recently (last 2 or 3 years) re-engaged with film. I've been doing my own developing of both b&w and color.

I suspect that I'll likely fade out film as my developing set-up isn't ideal however my most recent camera acquisition is a Contax G1.

Gary, loving that Contax.
Me too! It arrived this morning and it is indeed gorgeous.

I loaded two new CR2 batteries and a 24 exposure roll of Tri-X. I was anxious to see just how finicky the AF/half press shutter was going to be. I suspect it's going to be just fine. I would have shot the last 8 exposures but the weather got damp (it's been bone dry here for the last 6 weeks, so we need the rain). Maybe tomorrow?

I'll post some shots as soon as I finish the roll (as they'll be developed and scanned here).
