Nae Miracle Here

Beautiful image. However, I'm a bit disappointed. I didn't think the Scots went in for gimmicky foofaraws.

No idea what a foofaraw is...sounds tasty!
The meaning has changed over the years to mean something like ruckus, but originally it meant something similar to geegaw - an unnecessary frill or decoration.

Then it is the wrong choice of word. All my photos are necessary - the future of the human race depends on them!
Your photos are interesting and quite necessary for the future of the human race. But that's not what I was talking about. I was talking about the Nik filter you used. To tell the truth, viewing this photo is what started me thinking about the discussion I started in the General Discussion forum.

I thought it was. I like "pure" film shots, and I also like digital. In either case, sometimes I do absolutely minimal editing or engage in some digital malarkey. I do it all in a spirit of adventure.

I tried a similar treatment several times. Here it gives me the feeling of a black painting between blue glass or something like that.... Something you buy in a souvenir shop....
