Not too far from Munich is Neuschwanstein Castle. To get the first shot I crossed over the Marienbrücke Bridge, and the hiked up the path a ways. I found a trail that lead to a nice view point.

Thank you for the comments, Brian. I usually travel without a tripod (mostly due to space and weight concerns). So I have to be a bit more careful on shooting the separate images with sufficient overlap to help with the stitching. So I end up shooting more frames than needed.

We visited there on our honeymoon 25 years ago, great to see it again:).

All we need now is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang flying away;).

Thanks Glen - I don't have any images of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but I did visit Salzburg on this trip. So I'll put up some Sound of Music scenes.

Hmm, Sound of Music you say. Can't wait!

Fabulous shots though, and it always amazes me that this is such a recent building. We watched a documentary on King Ludwig II over Xmas, not the most down-to-earth monarch of recent times! Mind, look what the president of Turkey is building!
