This will blow your budgey, I mean budget - but I consider them the best camera bags available...

Billingham 555 is even bigger - and of course more expensive.

I've had Billingham bags for the last 20 years - all still going strong despite plenty of use and abuse.

If you where seriously thinking about it I could bring it round and you could see how if your gear goes in?

cracking idea... yes, i was looking at kata bags ... and yes, it seems i was looking at the one you have
are we going to take photos on saturday?
maybe we could look at it then?

Take a look at the "Lowepro-Classified-250-AW" I got the 200 AW version for xmas and its brilliant. Only difference being mine doesnt have laptop compartment.

A bit late to the party ;). I recently got this, Lowepro DSLR Video Fastpack 150 AW Backpack (LP36392-PEU) - wex photographic

Although the spec says "DSLR with lens attached, 1 additional lenses, flash, 13 inch laptop plus specialised audio equipment", I managed to fit these in:

1. 5D2 + battery grip (with one of the shorter lenses attached)
2. 17-40mm
3. Zeiss 50mm
4. 70-200mm F4 (this lens and one of the short ones are stored in the top compartment)
5. lens cleaning pen
6. CPL
7. ND filter
8. One Cokin gradual ND filter (in its plastic box)
9. Cokin P filter holder (standard 3 filter type)
10. Spare lens and camera body caps.
11. A small torch
12. 3 or 4 adaptor rings
13. A remote shutter cable
14. A spare 5D2 battery
15. 13" Macbook

It's very snug fit, but I can still take the camera in/out comfortably. However, the overall weight is another story.

The 250W model, should fit your requirements nicely.

Hamish, you can get a back-pack add-on for the Urban Disguise. Despite my disappointment with their rolling case the UD 2.0 60 is a wonderful bag and would fit what you describe perfectly. The harness is £24 extra so you'd end up about £70 over budget though.

Would also mean you can use it as a very professional looking carry bag and a shoulder bag too.

I got a Kata 467i in the end ...
It's a bit small for the larger gear, but it does fit with a bit of wrangling and it's very comfortable!
