New Type 55 - First Shot

Here is the first shot made with the New55 film I mentioned on Friday. The lighting was tricky with very strong light from behind lighting the foliage and a lamp / branch in shadow resulting in a range of 1/15 - 1/4000s. But the film coped pretty well and the negative still has some tiny bits of detail in the shadows. This is the positive from the film.

Thanks, Jonathan. I took an ambient reading from just in front of the lamp and then checked the ambient from by the leave and just to the right as well as far back in direct light. I then used just under one stop less than the first reading to limit the highlights a bit and make sure the tones of the lamp and branch were quite dark.
