I'm in pano heaven! :D

The reflection in #1 is insane, like a mirror - also has an industrial feel which I really like

I like the perspectives and the lighting in #2 - is that your MTB?

#3 and #5 have a list to starboard - but I really like the buildings, and the way they are lit

Not sure about #4 - that's one bright light! Was that the spotlight as the rozzers tried to track you down? :D

Quick question - did you leave a filter on the camera at all?

Cheers Chris
Yeah, I didn't straighten them, but I'm sure they were level according to te cameras level, I think there maybe some odd perspectives ... I'll have a go at straightening them in a mo though as looking with fresh eyes your right to pick it up, they don't look quite right!

It is my bike yes, I plonked it there whilst I was taking shots, spotted this shot I felt my bike being in it didn't do any harm ...

The bright light one ... I like the light but I can see why others wouldn't! For me it adds to the atmosphere!
The canal was dead still, it was slightly misty and there was a quietness about the place that I really liked, fr some reason that bright light fits the feeling for me...

No filters, all taken with the camera balanced on a post or sat on the floor
All shot at f16 at low iso's and with 30ish second exposures

I didn't get the pano thing, but I really like a lot of your panos so have been determined to make it work for me ...
The thing is, I don't find that it suits the style of photography thy I like doing so much ... These are the closest to my "style" and are panos that I've managed to achibe so far... And I think I'm quite pleased with them!

These are really nice Hamish. The last one especially so although I think my favourite is the one with your bike in (there's a tiny highlight in the upper middle window that is little distracting). I see what Chris means about the levels in 1 and 3: subtle but just noticeable due to the format. What I would like to see is these against black. That would give them even more impact (and big!!).

Which camera?

Cheers Pete!
I shall do a bit of tweaking in a mo!
X100 is the camera! It's definitely earned its keep already that camera has!

I think you're knocking panos out of the park Hamish - especially without the use of a tripod!

Has a lovely cinematic quality about it when presented this way :)

The reflection in #1 is amazing, I didn't realise half of the picture was reflected until I've read what Chris said :).

I've been looking at this on and off all day. I think it is too narrow on the sides if you have the wide border above. And this is giving an optical illusion of the image sloping to the right (not helped by the lines of the buildings and docks on the left).

What a great set of shots Hamish I like the crystal clarity that they have. The image with the bright light doesnt have this so much but I agree that it has an atmospheric quality that I really like too. Seemed like it was a nice still evening.

Interesting ...
Im not hot on framing images in this way, usually stick to a thin black line if i do anything...
have you a suggestion?

Cheers everyone! :)

I'd probably have used a thin black line! But I like the idea of this presentation but maybe wide at the sides as well but widest at the bottom with top and sides the same. Could keep the thin grey line and maybe even add some grey text as a title to the bottom border. What do you think?
