There seems to be quite a tasty feature set - 39 point af, sensitivity rage equivalent to that of a d3 ... But more pixels... I wonder how it will fare in low light? Af hd movie mode... In fact it almost looks better than the d300s ... On paper...
 
It certainly makes buying a D300s a lot less appealing at this point. The D300(s) is now well over three years old and its replacement will be likely announced next summer along with the D4. I expect that Nikon has achieved a great return on investment over these years, and sales now are probably minimal. If the D7000 lives up to its promise, it would be very difficult at this time to find any camera that delivers as much versatility and potential image quality for the money.
