Davie, I also use a video tripod, though it didn't know it was for that when I bought it. Heavy and sturdy - perfect for the Mamiya RB67. Altogether, though, very heavy!

I bought a Slik Sprint Pro II in Worcester about 4 years ago, they are also sold as Calumet own brand, it's small & light and fits inside my back-pack. However it's not the most robust of tripods but it does what I need.

I did on one of my trips back to the UK while living in Turkey. Don't know it was you though, the sales guy showed me one that was cheaper and then the one I bought which had no price on it, he made a mistake on the price and I was going to pass on it when we found the correct price was much higher. Someone else came from upstairs and agreed a price that was acceptable (This matched what I'd have paid at Calumet).

So I guess you may have been one of them ! It wasn't a shop I really used as I normally bought from Leeds or Calumet in Birmingham (then they merged), and my local Jessops supplied my LF materials as well, mostly I'd go, looking for odd bits in Worcester in the bargain boxes, lens caps that type of thing.
