Notes From The Top Left Corner

Great to hear that the exhibit is well attended. It's always a special feeling to see your own work on display and see others responding to it. Do you have any other upcoming projects?

I've not been posting recently because of a big project I've been working on. I just finished restoring and printing 21-11x14's along with several other images of a Dutch conceptual artists work for an upcoming exhibition at the Hamburg Kunsthalle Museum in Hamburg, Germany. I can't divulge any more information until the exhibit opens. I am so excited to be given this opportunity. I have friends who will be attending the opening and they will be taking photos. I will have something to share at that time.

I have produced numerous shows for photographers over my career but this is one of the most high profile. I've never worked on a show that would be classified as international in scope. After Hamburg the exhibit will be traveling to a location just outside Paris. I'm hoping a museum in the U.S. will pick it up.

Stay tuned.

The custom shipping crate leaves Dallas today headed for Hamburg. Once it arrives and is unpacked there will still be numerous images that will need framing. I'll be anxiously awaiting the completion of that process. Only after that step is completed and all is well will I be able to relax. The mounting and framing of the 21-11x14's is a precise and delicate operation. There is no room for error.

Now it's just a waiting game. Thanks for all the well wishes. Even though I've done this for decades I still get excited about the completion and installation. There is no feeling like seeing the work framed and presented just as the artist intended. Helping an artist achieve their vision for their work is very fulfilling for me. It's one of the things that keeps me going even after 45 years.
