Just for Show One careless owner

From the local breakers yard after a visit to get some images on recycling, Nov 2011.
For some reason my host uploads don't have the vibrancy of the originals but the subject is clear to see.

Superb Gavin and nice PP.

I suspect that your export isn't sRGB and so the hosting site is doing its own colour space thing. If you are exporting from LR check that the colour space in the export dialogue is set to sRGB. If not the vibrance and apparent sharpness will be lower than you would expect.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but if I start another one I'm bound to get my terms mixed up. I can't get my head round colour calibration, so I rely on Huey. There is a Huey profile attached to my images and for the most part they look the same everywhere, apart from the Windows Photo Gallery viewer. Should I be doing something else?

Thanks Pete. The images looks good at the host just not when linked. I also tried uploading it to the site and still the vibrancy takes a knocking. Its no big deal.

Lesley I can't help you with your quandary. I only know Photoshop and am currently trying to get my head around LR4.

Sorry to hijack for housekeeping
If the thread prefix is set to "just for show" that means critique is not on the cards ...
I'm not sure if I'm telling Gavin or Lesley, but just thought I'd say it :)

As for the photo, very interesting ... Whenever I see a smushed car it always makes me think of the original outlay and pride of first owner...

That'll buff right out Gavin - just a small scratch! :D

Works very well, almost like an art installation in the way you've presented it

I tend to consider that I will make a comment about why I like it but not how I would alter it or how I would have done it myself.

In my reply above I was responding to Gavin wondering why the colour etc was looking a bit dull in general rather than about the specific image.

aaaahhh dont cry Lesley ;)
Its fine, id just prefer that if people choose to post under the "just for show" prefix they are choosing to not receive any constructive comment.
