really nice silhouette, strange to see such a nice blue sky with the moon.

I guess this was at sunset or sunrise

Great work

For some reason reminds me of Mike Oldfields album art QE2, although i think yours is nicer. With the moon it is like QE2 & Crises album art.

Thats spot on!
Perfect compo, really, I cant see how it could be better with the diagonals of land and cloud ...
really nice colour too!
Yep, thats a great shot!

Thanks for the comments.

It could be improved compositionally by having the moon on a third but it was too far away to move.

Tells a lovely story, which really makes it for me.

AT first I thought he was facing the moon,...looking up at it. Then I thought, no, he's looking downhill. Whatever, I really like the colors in the sky and the almost orangy reflection of the setting sun off the clouds. At least, that's what I think I see. Very nice shot indeed.

You think? I think that would be too oobvious a compo that would loose a little d what this has...
i also think it would get a little lost.
centre frame with the chap looking at it works for me ...
It makes it very much the focus of the image! ...
It's te break in convention that makes it work in my mind!

For those interested parties - the chap (Pete) was watching the sunrise with his dogs prior to the first pheasant drive. It was about -4, very cold and very clear. Metered for the sky and the rest was luck, as it often is.

I could vertical crop and put the moon on a third but the image loses it's impact, so I won't.

More thanks for responses.
