Took quite a few photo's as it turned out. Even got asked to take pics of a fisherman. He wanted them for a web site of his it seemed. I'd be useless at being a paid up Photographer as they were not good at all.
That is not to claim any of them are.
St.Ives has Two sides onto the sea, which means the sand on the beaches and Harbour, often throughout a storm is pushed up onto the walls of the houses. This is were it stays until washed away again.

Thank you Rob. A nice winters day I have to say, better than the grey ,cold dank, wet drizzle, that gets to the marrow at the moment.

Ooooh my fave place! Nicely done.

I hope you had a pint in the Sloop :)

Brilliant Julian.... Like the last one very much...

What a great set Julian. Combined with the shots of the 'onlookers' it as a feeling of an aftermath about it. Nice. :)

Thanks Pete . Yes it does have that look and see it clearly you mention it. this was after the horrendous storms we had at the beginning of January until a couple of days
ago.

There's something wonderful about the light and the muted tines Julian - it's very beachy

Loving the orange boat and the orange theme throughout the set - It pops with the sandy tones really nicely

those are some crazy shots with the sand pushed up against the houses. really nice photos.

thanks Beth. St.Ives does have a harbour but there are one or two places in Cornwall where there are fishing communities without harbours. There they pull the boats up into the roads away from the beach when a known storm in a approaching.
On to be driving along to find boats on the road.
