Critique Welcomed One of the reasons I want to shoot RAW

I'm getting a Fuji HS30 at the end of the month for which I have 3 reasons

1 I am use to using a Bridge camera and when I'm out I like the versatility rather than having to swap lenses (which might be difficult when Im holding the dogs lead near a railway) With the HS30 I get a lot of DSLR functions in a bridge (and that even includes a manual twist zoom and manual focus ring) so is a logical step the X-S1 is almost double the price for a very similar spec

2) i dropped my S4080 over Christmas so need a new camera

3) I want to start shooting RAW and most bridge cameras only shoot Jpeg there are 3 others that I have found shoot Raw and all are nearly double the price A Canon SX50 the afore mentioned X-S1 and a panasonic which after reading the reviews went straight out of the reckoning The Canon uses a powered lens so again was scrapped as after this I want to go to DSLR (Battery life because of the lens is half the fuji's) so having got use to using the manual zoom on the HS using DSLR lenses will be normal to use
