Have you ever wondered what happens when you select that menu option that reads something like 'perform factory reset'? Neither had I. Do you even know where it is? Neither did I. Until....
There I was fiddling and I not only found the wretched option, but managed to select it! Irritating I thought, I'll lose all those carefully selected choices I've made honing it to perfection. Still nothing too awful really. Wrong.
Think about it. Where's the flipping factory located? That's right Japan. What language do they use to chat to each other as they enjoy their equivalent of 'workers playtime'? That's right Japanese. So when you restart your fresh as a daisy camera guess what, its menu system is beautifully fully restored to brand new - in japanese!!! Useful.
Never, never, ever take that option without knowing exactly where to find the 'select language' option in the menu tree blind. There lies madness.
Oh how we laughed.
