I've been wanting to stop and photograph the pylons for years now, finally got the chance when we were shooting in the area.

Loving the first and the last ones especially.

That stump man is just freaky! :D

I like the chair lifts one, love the misty conditions, also that last one you got to love these things made from wood

I think my favourite here is the cable car shot. Super lead in from top right and disappearing into the mist. And I only just realised that the the railing shot is looking down towards the post/man. Nice set all-in-all and the mono treatment suits them well I think.

The pylons are along the Desert Rd in the middle of the north island in New Zealand.

I am pretty happy with the chair lift photo, when i was driving up the mountain rd i was thinking it would be cool to get that kind of shot, but when i got to the top car park the cloud was higher. I took a few photo's then just before i went to leave the cloud came in around the bottom chair lift. It's taken at the Turoa ski field on Mt Ruapehu in NZ.

Are those the pylons along 395 north of Victorville?
They certainly could pass for a pylon landscape in USA, Darren, and it is very like the Southern California High Desert.

This is a really nice set of images. I like #1 particularly. I like #5 also. I find it very interesting that they've made that fencing out of what appears to be tree limbs.

It's interesting how scenery half way around the world can look so similar. Those shots of electricity pylons and landscapes are almost identical to what we have here in southern California, in the Mojave desert northeast of LA. Even the ski lifts would be apprpriate, because that's the route you take to get to the Sierra Nevada mountains and the ski resorts there.

Thanks guys. The last one of the kids was a bit of a bonus, i was taking photos of the bridge when these 2 kids start getting cheeky. I quickly turned around and snapped a pic, pretty happy with the result. Just had to clone out the corner of a building that was in the top left corner

Now that is an awesome photo!!!
really, this is just the sort of thing that ticks my boxes!

Agree - what a moment to capture, such simplicity in the image yet so powerful

This is the sort of image that wins competitions! :)

I'm loving the helicopter shot with that lovely sunburst - just a nice bit of prop blur as well - excellent! :)
