Critique Welcomed Out shopping

I like this environmental street shot. Nice atmosphere, good composition. Would have liked a little closer on the two wonderful ladies though, to have a tad more idea of their expression.

But in all a photo I like!

There are times when senility strikes and this could be one of those moments.:( I feel so sorry that it occasionally happens and becomes a burden to the society where I congregate. My sincere apology for such an occurrence. Who are you again? My only consolation is, that new people here as well as "old" may appreciate such an occurrence. I should have called it Turkey revisited, with a question mark:D
Thank you all the same, Julian was it, for appreciating my attempt.

Thank you Rense, much appreciated. Actually, when street photography occurs with people in it, there is always a balance struggle going on in one's mind about how they shall they feel about me being bold. And I have to respect people. At times I may be too bold or too shy. ( I know, some shall obviously comment on the latter expression ). I can at times use a telephoto lens, but it does not feel right, also when I see the result. Anyway, I choose to be somewhat bold, with a smile. In almost all incidents, they smiled at me too. Wonder why:D

I think that is what many street photographers struggle with... And also what most of them experience: giving a smile is gaining a smile.... It's like gazing, I guess.... And I would not do it with a longer lens, that is a bit creepy, as if spying on people....

In this case, there is the problem of the scarfs... Ladies with scarfs in a Muslim country: how far can one go without being rude, or worse? I don't know. Even here, in the Netherlands, I experience some (internal!) trouble when photographing Muslim girls or ladies. I just don't know what is acceptable for them..... just don't know.....

I guess you are right about muslims, but it varies from country to country and even within a country, like Turkey for instance. But a smile here too, did the trick!

This is an excellent photo. I really like the high key treatment. I was about to guess Sicily until I saw your comment about Turkey.

Thank you John, highly appreciated. I must admit, that whenever I am at the liberty of travelling, people in their environment shall always interest me!
