Critique Welcomed Outdoor Bookstore

wonderful comp. i love the grittiness in these b&w tones, but i like that there are some lighter tones in it as well to give some contrast. maybe the books sold here are waterproof?
Thanks Beth...Today would test the waterproof theory. And to think we are off to Fenway Park in a few minutes to see if we are waterproof.;)

Good catch Rob...here's a full on shot for your enjoyment. And...I like your shot also. Just goes to show...New England it's so different from Old. ;)

Wonderful detail and texture Glenn. I do find my eye drawn to that door an balcony at the top though. Maybe you could crop the top and bring the focus overall to the lower part of the image. Either way, it's a super shot. Did you buy anything?
Thanks Pete...does this work a little better?

It does I think. You could even crop it further to below the lattice below the door and still keep a strong composition. What do you think?
Interesting...here's the original untouched landscape shot. I couldn't get the mural with my back against the walk across the street...so I flipped the camera. I'll work on the other later...

Great shot Glen, i do like the first, but they all work well. I did not come across the bill board immediately in the first, it was a nice surprise when It did reveal itself, I quite like a busy image to explore when they work.
